Subject: [BIRDING-AUS] Red-necked
Phalarope
Hi
all,
The
Red-necked Phalarope was still present this morning at the Seaford Swamp and can be viewed from Mike's broken gate access
point. The bird was seen by at least six observers this morning between 08:30 and 10:00.
Whilst
the bird did not seem too nervous, it is moving around a bit. It was last seen
sheltering behind some reeds slightly to the North (about 40 to 50m) from the
two posts. There are also a couple of Swamp Harriers to the north which is
upsetting some of the birds.
Other
birds at the site included White-fronted Chat, Black-winged Stilt, Sharp-tailed
Sandpiper and a Royal Spoonbill.
