Thanks for letting the readers of the bird
site about the withdrawal of this wonderful magazine. I have been subscribing to
it for years & I did send an email to Frank Howarth as suggested but in
these cases finance usually wins.
Re the Bee eaters , I read a note from Bango
Patterson where he described coming home from India many years ago &
the boat was almost covered with the birds resting on their way to
Australia. The numbers certainly have decreased over the
years.
They did arrive into North Haven, Laurieton ( mid
North coast NSW) regularly years ago. They dug their nest tunnels into the bank
at the tip, of all places.
