Another
perfect day on the Western Treatment Plant.
On the large
lagoons at the eastern end were plenty of ducks.
T
here were
Blue-bills, Musk, Hardheads Chestnut and Grey Teal all cruising by
the reeds. In the other ponds there were plenty of Pink-eared Duck all
looking very healthy.
The Godwits seem a
permanent fixture on Walsh's Lagoon.
Wee were taking a
couple of French Canadians ands were able to find all on their hit list and some
extras as well. Finally a Striated Field Wren showed up as we were leaving
Lake Borrie and going towards Kirk Point.
There were 12
Magpie Gees on the T section , they were a 'tick' for my Treatment Plant list.
Plenty of Red-necked
Stints, Curlew and Sharp-tail Sandpipers.
I have just
finished reading The Big Twitch and recommend it ,well done
Sean!
