G'day all,
I have read that the Sydney suburb of Rosehill was named after Rosellas. However, in last nights (Sunday) ABC program "Buried Alive - part 2" the commentator stated that Rosehill was named after a G. Rose Esq.
Sounds more plausible.
Any comments ? Regards from

In my schooldays I was told that Rosehill in Sydney came first. Eastern Rosellas were at first called "Rosehill Parakeets" , then Rosehillers, and so to Rosellas.
