HI all, Are black chinned and golden backed honeyeaters 2 races of the one species or are the completely differant, my field guide to Australian birds by Graham Pizzey has them listed as seperate but while flicking through my readers digest complete book of Australian birds it makes only a mention that golden backed is another name for Black chinned honeyeaters...Also can sombody suggest a good field guide, i feel the one i have gives me no clues at the crucial time or nothing looks like what i am looking at through the bins!
cheers G.L. Crompton
