Hi everyone,
I see that there is controlled flooding going on in the Barmah Millewa forest this year which has lead to excellent golden and silver perch spawning http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/common/story_page/0,5744,17336581%255E2702,00.html. Does anyone know how it is affecting or is likely to affect bird numbers and what will be the best time for birdwatching (while water is high or as waters recede?). I was thinking of heading up for a look in the next few weeks does anyone have recent information on the best spots? Is Gulpa Island accessible and good at the moment?
