Hi All,
I just returned from Gluepot with a few good sightings (Pied
Honeyeater, Black-eared Cuckoo, Splendid Fairy Wren in breeding plumage).
One example of bird behaviour I witnessed which I found very
interesting was an adult Pallid Cuckoo feeding a squawking juvenile Pallid
Cuckoo. The juvenile was not in a nest and was flying to the adult on command when
it had caught its latest feed.
As they are parasitic, I found this behaviour very
interesting. Has anyone else witnessed similar?
Cheers,
Andrew.
