Hi David and Tim, So that's all well and good for NSW and VIC, but what about QLD. I believe the tallies for the QLD twitchathon are up in the 250s, but I doubt it would be possible to achieve that in all but a few parts of the state. I like the suggestion that you define regions that you aren't allowed to leave, and the yearly average for that region weights your tally. Otherwise Brisbane would be weighted on the birds that can be seen in Cairns, which would be like Melbourne being weighted on birds seen in Brisbane.
