We have a pair of Tawny Frogmouths at our place.
Observing them over the last 3 years they have raised 1 young each year of
those 3 years. I'm not sure if a 2 month incubation period is too long, but this
year, our hen started sitting on the 11th of September and the chick let
the nest on the 9th of November. We were surprised that the nest survived the
strong winds during this time, as it was the typical hap-hazard tawny
nest.
