Hi

On Thursday at a large colliery dam in the Black Hill region about 5k west
of the northern end of the F3 freeway:
Hoary-headed Grebe
Australian Grebe
Black Swans with large family
Hardheads
Black-fronted Dotterel
Black Duck
And what might have been a pair of Blue-billed Ducks. These birds were
perched on a log at the edge of the dam and at first I assumed they were
Chestnut Teal. However they just didn't look right (a bit dark) and the male
had a very distinct fan-shaped tail.

Cheers

Colin Driscoll
