There's a lesson for us all here. Next time you see an unusual bird, slow down, stop pedalling, and maybe even get off the bike to have a proper look!!!

PS Bill can be almost seen any morning or afternoon along the Yarra bikeway - look for the only rider NOT in lycra going very fast - that will be him.

colours of bill and legs and there really shouldn't have been much

I've mentioned the birds a couple of times this year on Birding- Aus, on
the 10th of October and previously on the 1st of April (possibly an
appropriate date).

You can label me a stringer now.
