Went to Round Hill with my mate Darryl Mckay two weeks 26/09 ago and spent a
few days there. On the way back to town we stopped to check out a Banded
Lapwing with 4 chicks when a Grey Falcon flew over head than we saw it in a
flight display with another Grey Falcon. Round Hill was ablaze with small
ground flowers which in turn was filled with masses of moths which the
Rufous Songlarks, White-winged Trillers and Red-caped Robins only had to hop
around for a short time to get a feed. Also recorded were Painted
Honeyeaters, Black Honeyeaters and Black-eared Cuckoo's. At the western end
of Nombimmie Reserve we recorded Crimson Chats, White-fronted Honeyeaters
and Pied Honeyeaters. Regards Terrill
