Top bit of luck this morning at Samsonvale Cemetery. While trying to
show Marie and well-known B-A correspondents David Taylor and John
Harris a Little Bronze-Cuckoo, a stunning male Satin Flycatcher flew
into the wattle and allowed us reasonable views. All of us exclaimed
"Satin Flycatcher!" in unison. Although I'm fairly certain that I've
seen this species in SE Qld in the past this was the first time that
I've had no doubt of it's identity.
Images are available on the ABID
(http://www.aviceda.org/abid/newimages.php) although they are a little
poor due to cloudy conditions.
Please contact me in private for more details.
