Hi Birders,

I was wondering if anyone could help me with a possible trip to Darwin in about a month - or sooner if necessary.

There are 3 species that we are chasing. Chestnut rail - I think I know where to go and heard it there last month but still no sightings. The second one is the Letter-winged Kite which last month was just past the turn off to Fogg Dam. There were 3 individuals there. Are they still there? Also 37 km west of Kakadu NP on the Arnhem highway there is a little dam where a lot of Gouldian finches came in to drink at day break. Are they still there or has the recent rain meant that they have now dispersed?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am thoroughly enjoying Sean's The Big Twitch and would recommend it to anyone.

Regards,

Fiona Anderson
