Emus occur right to the sea at Woodgate, between Maryborough and
Bundaberg, on the Queensland coast. The road to Woodgate turns off at
Childers and there is a connecting road into Bundaberg so the journey
north is only slightly added to.
In the early morning, you generally see foot marks on the beach if you miss the birds. Late afternoon they tend to graze along the edge of the street behind the beach that takes you to the National Park.
