Hi Steve We saw Eungella HE at the very end of Chelmans Rd at the State Forest gate (locked) as per T&T in January this year. We didn’t need to go walking either! Two birds came in to the call very quickly. The campground back in the national park was a nice spot to camp and we saw Noisy Pitta as well as 4 Barking Owls right at camp. Platypus also in the creek if you are interested. Alan Gillanders would be a good person to talk to on the Atherton Tablelands. Get your hands on a copy of Lloyd Neilsons book “birds of Queensland’s wet tropics and where to find them” If you can.
