Hello All,

I don't get to read all of the entries here, so I apologise if I am bringing up something already covered. Regarding the use of bird call tapes in the background of tv series. Although I didn't get to see the episode of 'The Alice' Edwin Vella spoke of recently, my ears had similar reason to be pricked a few weeks ago when watching another show, McLeods Daughters -for a good perve, which I understand is filmed near Gawler, South Australia. I had a good laugh when the unmistakable sounds of a superb lyrebird were ringing out in the background and through the dry farming land, which, according to script-writers, is suffering drought and in much need of rain.

Regards,
Michael Wood
