Hi Birding-aussers, I checked the Ospreys out today, she appears to be incubating and he is still bringing in nest building material. He is picking up reed stems and other flotsam from the lagoon shore only about 100 metres from the nest so I would say it is lining. The male is not banded and we haven't seen the female off the nest which effectively conceals her legs (and any bands!). Bruce Cox on Sydney's Northern Beaches. -------------------------------------------- Birding-Aus is now on the Web at www.birding-aus.org -------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message 'unsubscribe birding-aus' (no quotes, no Subject line) to |
