Wooloowin oddity (nth Brisbane)

Yesterday, Sunday, the weather in Brisbane was still fine & warm. After lunch, we heard a thump on the outer, eastern wall, then a huge fuss of Noisy Miners.

        Yes, a bird-to-house collision. But not just one bird. On the grass I found two Miners lying locked together at the feet/legs, and being 'bombarded' by the noisy crowd of Miners above them.

        Pull away from each other as hard as they might, wings flapping, the birds could not disentangle their legs. It was five minutes of Miner-mayhem before they separated with a snap, both flying up steeply.

        Perhaps these two birds were fighting with their feet while flying towards the sun -- then they hit the house?
