It could well be a tape then, unless they just happen to often film in the presence of a flock of Swift Parrots. Could still be worth asking the producers of the program though.

I also mentioned this a while ago on birding-aus and have heard Swift Parrots on a few episodes of Better Holmes and Gardens. I wonder if its just a tape playing in the back ground!

Hi All

An interesting note.  I was watching Better Homes and Gardens (Channel 7) on Friday night and they had a segment on constructing a garden shed.  While the presenter was laying concrete, there was the unmistakable call of several Swift Parrots flying around him.  The birds continued calling throughout the filming sequence. I don’t know where the backyard was that they were filming in, but I suspect it was somewhere in NSW.
