A question for the list. I have a colleague who is looking into water and waderbird distribution on wetlands in the Kerang Lakes (northern Victoria) area. This area has a suite of wetlands of different sizes and salinity levels etc. One issue that she is requesting advice on is how to group species into which wetland types (ie. salinity levels) and feeding groups (guilds) of the birds that are found there. Does anyone have a reference or other information I could pass on in this regard? Australian information is best but I'm happy to look at anything that may assist the above. Please contact me directly. cheers, Martin Martin O'Brien
