I heard one calling at the Chandler Highway bridge over the Yarra on Thursday
morning at sunrise. It did strike me as early.

Hi All,
Last Friday 19th August, an Olive-backed Oriole was calling in North
Warrandyte. It called for about ½ an hour and hasn't been heard since. Is
this normal and has anyone else seen or heard an OBO this season?. Does
anyone know the earliest date of the return of the OBO? Thanks and happy
birding
Marlene
