I went to the corner of Awaba and Spit Road early this morning ------- and found -------

A wooden owl tied clumsily to a tree with string.

The Northern beaches area of Sydney was great – despite the wooden owl,

Amongst others, this was a quality day’s birding;

Sea Eagle

Whistling Kite

Black Bittern

Azure Kingfishers

Best wishes,

Nevil Lazarus
