Hi Paul

The answer to your first question is as follows:

Indonesian Honeyeater - Lichmera limbata
Brown Honeyeater - Lichmera indistincta

The second one is a bit harder. The martin you describe sounds like a Sand
Martin - it winters down to S Malay peninsula and rarer in the Phillipines.
According to HBW, vagrants have been recorded as far south as New Guinea.
Regarding the seasonal presence of many of these species it often comes down
to observer density as to whether or not they have been recorded in that
part of the world. It would be worth getting other peoples' views on this.
