As yet no Swift Parrots seen on the NSW Central Coast this weekend, and in the period Apr-August, there was only one sighting of two birds in early May. However just to the west of us in the Cessnock area of the Lower Hunter, Swift Parrots have been present feeding in flowering Spotted Gum during the same period. It seems that our flowering Spotted Gums, Forest Red Gums and Swamp Mahogany held no attractions for Regent Honeyeaters and Swift Parrots in 2005, although plenty of other Honeyeaters and Lorikeets were present.
