Hi John.

I have seen the White-streaked HE alongside the Jardine River. Coming down from Bamaga and turning left at the DC3 wreck , carry on to where the road meets the river, there is an old pumping station there. A track then goes left along the river and they were seen in the trees to the left of the track.

Another spot I’ve seen them is near a sports field a few km north of Ayton ( Wujal Wujal) on the Bloomfield Track. As you face the sportsfield from the road the birds were in the trees to the right.

Klaus Uhlenhut will also know where to find some.

If you need info for the GS Parrot and Red Goshawk get back to me.

Dear Colleagues,

I am heading up to Cape York to see Golden-shouldered Parrot and Red Goshawk.  Another bird I need is White-streaked Honeyeater.

Can anyone give me good locations for this bird (presumably heaths) either on the way to Laura or north of Laura?

Thanks,

John
