Hi Greg and others,

Thanks for the report of the two Pacific Gulls at Scarborough, Greg.
I live a short distance from Queen's Beach, Scarborough, so I made a quick but
careful dash to there
at about 4 pm (Sat 9th July) to get some photos.

Surprisingly, the two birds were exactly were Greg said he saw them.
(That's not intended as a slight on Greg but a cynical comment on my record of following-up other people's reports.)
A couple of local residents were actually interested and revealed that these
two birds may have been
in the area for at least a couple of weeks.

I have put a couple of pictures on a web-page and would be interested to hear from the experts as to their
opinions on the stage of development of these birds.
Are they juveniles or first immatures?
Go to:

Due to the size of the photos this page may take a minute or two to download.

Cheers

Note: Scarborough is a suburb of the city of Redcliffe not a suburb of Brisbane.
Check Map 82 in the Brisbane UBD Refidex. Look for the boat-ramp in square C16.
