Dear All,
Next weekend I'm going on a trip with my 13 year old son for 5 days starting
at Uluru and finishing at Alice Springs.
Have planned a route to give us a chance of the following species (we don't
expect to get all of them!):
Bourke's Parrot
Chiming Wedgebill
Western Bowerbird
Banded Whiteface
Spinifex Pigeon
Painted Finch
Slaty-backed Thornbill
Cinnamon Quail-thrush
Grey Honeyeater
Dusky Grasswren
Spinifexbird
Ground Cuckooshrike
Golden-backed Honeyeater
Grey-fronted Honeyeater
Red-browed Pardalote
Rufous-crowned Emu-wren
I noticed there was a bit of news a few weeks ago, including Grey Honeyeater
in Alice Springs (is that still about?). Any up to date news on this, or any
of the above-listed birds, or advice on recent sightings, or where best to
try for them would be most welcome.
Many thanks
Tim Jones
