Hi Kurtis,

I assume you are referring to the Baseball arena between Doonside and Rooty
Hill in Western Sydney. Crested Pigeons are fairly common birds in this
area, I lived in Doonside 30 years ago and they were around then. Here in
Penrith, about 10 miles further west they are one of the most common garden
birds, I would expect to see a pair in my garden virtually time I looked out

Certainly flocks of around 50 are common in Jamieson Park, Penrith.

>Does this behaviour only occur in areas where Crested Pigeon doesn't
>naturally occur?
>What is the biggest record of birds in flocks in natural habitat of the
>crested pigeon ?

Regards, Mike Simpson
Penrith, NSW
