Today at the WTP, Werribee

A very cold and windy day kept most of the small birds hiding.
Highlights were a mature Sea-Eagle on Borrie (eating what looked like
a Cygnet), a male Northern Shoveller on the long 115E ponds and a
Pallid Cuckoo at the Little River causeway.

Lots of Red-necked Stints still around - one or two in breeding
plumage. Also lots of Curlew Sandpipers and 3 Sharpies in breeding
plumage in the T-Section. A few Black-tailed Godwit and a solitary
Greenshank were also present.

Lots of Red-kneed, Red-capped, Black-fronted and Double-banded Plover/Dotterel.

Two Black Kites on 260S Road.

Couldn't find ANY Cape Barren Geese or Freckled Duck today!
