G'day All, Today while bird surveying Pyramid Creek (just south of Cohuna - Nth Vic) revegetation areas, I was surprised to see three juvenile Elegant Parrots. It is more likely to see Blue-winged Parrots here, but I am confident they were Elegant Parrots. I reckon that the parents are around too, but a search in the trees where the juveniles flew when disturbed feeding on the ground (creeping saltbush) or the area around the trees failed to turn them up. May have been feeding further out on the plains.
