Those of you who read The Age may have seen an article about boatsheds at Werribee (http://theage.com.au/articles/2005/05/09/1115584907741.html). This controversy has been simmering in the local papers here in Werribee for a while. Last week a supporter of the sheds wrote a letter to a local paper in praise of the bird life around the sheds (not sure how the sheds help bird life). Amongst the birds she saw in a recent visit there were two Albatrosses she claimed. So - no more pelagics for me - I'm just going to sit on the beach and wait for them to come to me! -------------------------------------------- Birding-Aus is now on the Web at www.birding-aus.org -------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message 'unsubscribe birding-aus' (no quotes, no Subject line) to |
