Hi Allan et al
I saw/heard a Tawny Grassbird at the Warriewood wetlands a few years ago
(2 occasions I think and the only visits I have ever had there). Other
places where I have seen them in/around Sydney include Pitt Town (at
least twice), Bushell's Lagoon, Maroubra (near Magic Pt) and Eastlakes
(a few birds at one time). Most of these sightings have been around
summer. I don't know if they are resident or just quite in the winter
around Sydney.

Dear Sydneysiders,
Yesterday on a Birding NSW club outing to Warriewood wetlands (a
northern
beaches suburb of Sydney) we saw at least one Tanwy Grassbird. I haven't
heard any previous reports of them being there, has anyone else seen
them
there?
We found the Emerald Dove in the Irrawong Reserve but no sign of the
Powerful Owl. There is very little blossom on the Swamp Mahogonies so
few
honeyeaters or lorikeets.
Rgds Allan
