Thanks Mike, Tom and John,

 

I too have used Paint Shop Pro ( three different versions over many years ) and a couple of Kodak proggies and like John Leonard still to no avail.

 

Thank you anyway for your help and interest on this topic that has both me and John Leonard bemused.

If a photo is only slightly out of focus, either Adobe Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro have 'Sharpen' options which will improve the image a little (albeit with the addition of noise to the picture in many cases). If moderately out of focus, there is not a lot you can do.
