Thanks to Eddie and Peter for that information. I have tried the Unsharpen Mask in Paint Shop Pro on a photo of a White Faced Heron foraging in my back yard this week, and it is a big improvement. Thanks to you both for this info, I had always used the Sharpen/Sharpen More commands in the past and this was much better. By the way, are White Faced Herons common in suburban yards in the Sydney area? This one has been visiting my yard regularly for some time now, and seems to eat small lizards, beetles and possibly snails.
