Hi all,

On July 25 1980 I observed a Cattle Egret at Alumy Creek, Grafton, north coast NSW, with a small (micro) bat.  As I approached the egret it dropped the bat which I retrieved for identification purposes.  It was a Common (Large) Bent-wing Bat Miniopterus schreibersii.  It had probably found the bat already dead as the carcase did not appear to be fresh when examined.

Regards
