Hello all,
Earlier this year in the USA, we noticed a Great Blue Heron (Ardea herodias)
catch and eat a furry critter which it had caught in some long grass on the
edge of a sports field.
We have no idea what the furry thing was - but it was the size of a large rat -
maybe even a mole like Bram said.
"Almost" got a photo of the event... almost!
cheers,
Mat and Cath Gilfedder
Brisbane
PS - a photo of the incident Harvey mentioned can be found at

>Seems unusual...
