For those in the Sydney - Central Coast - Newcastle area mainly (others also more than welcome). THE REGENT HONEYEATER & SWIFT PARROT RECOVERY TEAMS present Regent Honeyeater & Swift Parrot
Saturday 7th May, Bateau Bay, NSW 10am-5pm Interested in woodland birds and their habitats? Then come along to a free one day workshop at Bateau Bay to find out how to identify two of Australia's most threatened woodland bird species and the habitats they use in your local area. The Workshop is aimed at providing information about these nationally endangered species and how we can manage their habitat to ensure they continue to occur in the Hunter and Central Coast areas. The workshop will include: · An illustrated talk by researchers, including threatened species recovery team members
There will also be plenty of opportunity to share your observations and thoughts on woodland birds with researchers and other locals. We will have a short field trip in the afternoon searching for some of the threatened species discussed during the day. All you need to bring is pen, paper, binoculars (optional) and enthusiasm! Interested in coming along? Then simply register your name by Thursday 5th May 2005 …… we look forward to seeing you there!
