I live in Sth. Aust. Riverland. In 1991 I was travelling, for my first time, along the east coast of Australia, and camped in a State Forrest near Forster NSW I encountered my first Satin Bowerbirds, I put a few blue objects near my caravan so that I could follow the bird that was collecting them and find the bower, I found the bower and at the same spot I found a new friend, Reg Clark, who is a regular on Birding-aus, he and I have been friends ever since and we have shared some good birding and environmental experiences. Not only blue objects are found at Satin Bowerbird bowers.
