AusBirders,

Took a trip to the Penrice saltponds today (5/4) located north of Adelaide
to see the Hudsonian Godwit. We were rewarded with great views in the late
afternoon sun where the bird (with about 30 Black-tailed Godwits) is in near
breeding plumage as well as several good views of the underwing pattern. The
only other one we have seen was in Alabama (where it is also rarely seen)
that was only in partial breeding plumage.

Also there were about 20 Great Knots on a nearby island.
