Dear Richard & birding-Ausers The Whitehorse City council took my advice on blackberries for 3 years to save the Scrub-wrens and Superb Fairy-wrens, while the native plantings grew but then they went and sprayed the Blackberries while the Fairy-wrens were nesting in them and so we lost the lot. Message #1 I would suggest is not to spray during the breeding season Dr Mike Tarburton Dean: School of Science and Technology Pacific Adventist University PMB, Boroko Papua New Guinea -------------------------------------------- Birding-Aus is now on the Web at www.birding-aus.org -------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message 'unsubscribe birding-aus' (no quotes, no Subject line) to |
