Going through my records, Koels leave my area in western Sydney on
average in the middle of March and the latest date I had one stay till
was on the 13/4/93. However, the Channel-billed Cuckoo's appear to only
stay to February in my area.

Speaking about migrants, has there been any Swift Parrots in VIC yet? I
know it may be early but I thought a few very early ones may have
already started to appear on the mainland.

Hi Birders,
Edwin is correct, some Koels stay on in the Sydney Region well into
March,
and I had one in my back yard at Bateau Bay only yesterday. Most
Channel-bills have gone though, very few stay until the end of February.
