Hi all, Yesterday I had the pleasure of witnessing 30+ Plumed Whistling Ducks using my local pond in Fig Tree Pocket. I've had them here before, but no more than 4 at a time, and not for 3 years, so it was a nice surprise. They are fairly common about 15km from here, so it's not that strange I guess. Nothing else out of the ordinary, however I suspect that our Tawny Grassbirds are about to breed. I'm not sure if I was witnessing a courtship display or just a friendly pair of birds. Since one bird had a moth in it's bill the whole time, I figured it may have been an offering of some kind?
