Hi Edwin and others. Figbirds are definately on the increase both westwards and southwards, and in the past few years are now known to be regular at Eden on the far South Coast. This is move south has been well documented in the Annual Bird Reports published by Birding NSW (perhaps you should join up?). During 2002 they were reported from Moruya, Bermagui, Tuross Heads and Narooma. As more Ficus hilli and Moreton Bay Figs are planted as landscape trees in Sydney's western suburbs, it would be expected that they would also regularly be seen there too.
