Hi all

I've been spending a couple of days at a relative's property at Kurrajong
Heights west of Sydney NSW off the Putty Road. All sandstone escarpment
country and we've been having a good time birding. No new species but plenty
that I havent seen for years including:

50 White-throated Needletails
Chestnut Rumped Heathwrens
Really close views of a pair of Pacific Bazas
Brown Goshawk
Hobby
Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoos
A nest of Rufous Whistler's with chicks
Plus more usual suspects - White-throated Gerygone, Brown Thornbill, Striated
Thornbill, White-eared, Yellow Faced and White-cheeked Honeyeaters, Eastern
Spinebills, Silvereyes and Superb Fairywrens, Eastern Yellow Robin, Golden
Whistler, Sacred Kingfisher, Laughing Kookaburras and their nest, Double-barred
Finches plus heaps more.

Didnt see the Rock Warblers there that I've seen in the past unfortunately.
We're heading out to the Megalong Valley today.

Cheers
