Hi everyond,
something that might be of interest to those who birdwatch down at
Werribee. A friend of mine has been photographing waders down on the
Point Wilson road at Werribee and was intrigued by the cement bunkers.
While trying to find out what they were he came across the following
information idicating that some of Mad Max was filmed down on that road.
See below

>Ha! I was looking for some info on the net about what those little
>cement rooms at point wilson road were. I noticed some strange graffiti
>inside one of those concrete buildings that I didn't understand at the
>time... it said "mad max tour, 2003". I didnt think anything of it.
>Anyhow, I was doing various google searches and not coming up with
>anything until I did a search for "point wilson road werribee". I came
>across the Max Max Tour website that shows all the places in Victoria
>where parts of mad max were filmed... well, apparently those little
>cement rooms were part of the film! So someone has seen the website and
>visited, and written it down in there (:

>Apparently they're ammo bunkers.

>I also found out that people used to put together bombs in there and
>they were spaced apart so that if one went off, it didnt take out
>everyone else in the process.
