A short walk this afternoon around this popular inner-suburban lake in metropolitan Perth, currently drying out nicely, produced the following uncommon sightings:

Rufous Night-heron (Adult & juvenile)

Common Sandpiper

Red-kneed Dotterel (juvenile)

Chestnut Teal (at least one pair)

Red-necked Avocet (6)

[7 duck species were present: Chestnut Teal, Grey Teal, Black Duck, Pink-eared Duck, Aust. Shoveller, Aust. Shelduck & White-eyed Duck.]
