Hi all

Today travelling back from Adelaide to Waikerie I saw what I think was a
Grey Falcon flying over near the Barossa Valley (for locals, it was along
the Sturt Highway where the overtaking lanes are near the Laucke feedmill
plant) from the car, of course I didn't have my binoculars with me and also
there was no-where to pull over safely.
The falcon (size and shape of a Peregrine) flew steadily eastwards, was
darker grey above and light greyish below, with what looked like a slightly
darker head/moustache area. Also I saw a paler rump, a feature not described
in the field guides I consulted.
Any ideas?
I have only ever seen Grey Falcon twice, on both occasions perched in a
tree.
There have been several reports of Grey Falcon in the lower parts of SA
lately, some in/near Adelaide, and just recently at Gluepot.

Cheers
