The Ruff was seen by many birdos including myself on occasions between about 0900 and 1500 today, Tuesday 5 October. It is near the ponds at Paradise Road and seems to like the grassy area to the north-east of the larger pond, near the bend in the old broken timber boardwalk. At times it is disturbed with the other waders and comes closer to the roadway onto the nearest spit and preens. My first Mallard at Werribee was also at Paradise Road today and a Black Kite flew over as well. -------------------------------------------- Birding-Aus is now on the Web at www.birding-aus.org -------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message 'unsubscribe birding-aus' (no quotes, no Subject line) to |
