I have just spent a week at Gluepot Reserve and last week I had Rainbow
Bee-eaters at four sites and a Red-backed Kingfisher at another.
Most birds are breeding, I found nests of
Chestnut Quailthrush
Striated Grasswren
Black-eared Miner
Yellow-plumed Honeyeater
White-fronted Honeyeater
Hooded Robin
Red-capped Robin
Jacky Winter
A Black-eared Cuckoo was "hanging around" one of the Red-capped Robin nests.
Gluepot is "jumping" with birds at the moment and is well worth a visit, I
will be the Ranger at Gluepot for the month of December so I will look
forward to meeting the visitors.
Here at Berri in SA Riverland Pallid Cuckoo, Horsfields Bronze-cuckoo and
Fan-tailed Cuckoo have been here for several weeks.
